         As a Commissioner of Hazara Division, I am honoured to serve the people of this vibrant region. The Divisional as well as the District Administrations are committed to deliver efficiently citizen-centric social services through good governance. As per directions of the Provincial Government, we are promoting the vision to foster inclusive growth & development, improve service delivery, develop infrastructure, promote transparency & accountability and empower communities through participatory approach. Health Care, Education and infrastructure development is the priority of Provincial Government, besides, economic growth through continuous support to local business and tourism industry.

        We are committed to promote Hazara Division’s breath taking beauty, project rich cultural heritage and encourage hospitable community which present immense opportunities for tourism-driven economic growth creating jobs and stimulating local economies. I am proud to be part of the Divisional Administration who leads this division in a time characterized by mounting challenges, with number of efficiency benchmarks and performance indicators. The entire team of Divisional Administration has firm belief in unrelenting struggle and movements towards new peaks of service delivery.

I feel myself responsible for driving our offices/endeavors forward to the benefit of general public with continued focus on quality, reliability, openness and high morals and values of service delivery.

About Hazara Division
On the dissolution of West Pakistan in 1970, Hazara District and the two tribal agencies were merged to form the new Hazara Division with its Headquarter at Abbottabad. Hazara is a region in the northeastern part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located east to the Indus River and comprises eight districts Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Battagram, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, Kolai Pallas Kohistan and Torghar. Hazara is a region in the northeastern part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located east to the Indus River and comprises eight districts Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Battagram, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, Kolai Pallas Kohistan and Torghar. Hazara Division is bounded on the North & East by Gilgat Baltistan & State of AJK, to the south ICT & the Punjab, while to the West Malakand & Mardan Divisions. According to 2017 Census, the total Population of Hazara Division is 53, 25,121 with a total area of 17064 Km2. River Indus runs through the Division in a North South Line, forming much of the western border of the division. Besides, Kunhar River originating from Lake Lalusar and the Siran River originating from Village Manda Gucha are important. The rainiest part of Pakistan. At Abbottabad annual rainfall average is around 1200 millimeters. Major Linguistic/Ethnic Groups: Hindkowans (predominantly in Haripur, Abbottabad & some parts of Mansehra districts). Pashtuns (Torghar, Mansehra, Battagram & Trans-river Kohistan). Kohistanis (in all three districts of Kohistan except trans-river Kohistan. Major Tourists Attraction: The Galliyat and Thandiani Valleys in Abbottabad. The Kaghan, Shogran and Naran Valleys having natural lakes like Saiful Malook, Lolusar and Dodupatsar etc in Mansehra. The Chohr Valley with unique fauna and flora in Tehsil Allai District Battagram. The Supat Valley in Kohistan-A virgin Valley Tarbella and Khanpur reservoirs and the relics of Indus civilization in Julian and Jidial areas of Haripur. Major Projects: CPEC-Hazara Division is the gateway to CPEC. Suki Kinari Hydro Power Project is one of the largest projects falling under the portfolio of the CPEC.
